Dear Birthmother,
We admire your incredible courage and strength and are grateful that you love your baby so much that you are willing to consider an adoption plan. Thank you so much for giving us this time to share with you some information about us, our family, and our hopes and dreams for another child.
We are prepared to give your child a life filled with much love, laughter, and many opportunities, including a big brother. We adopted a baby boy in 2009 and have been overjoyed with our little family; however our hearts yearn for more children to love. Dwayne is an attentive and caring father. His “Daddy time” usually involves outdoor play including feeding the chickens and piling sticks for campfires. Alison continues to feel so blessed to have a little one that calls her Mommy. “Mommy time” consists of cooking together, watching movies and reading books before bedtime.
To tell you a little more about us, we have been married for 10 years and dating for 5 years prior to that, so we know each other inside and out. We enjoy the outdoors and are so excited to teach our little ones the wonders of spending time in the open air hiking, fishing, creek walking and roasting marshmallows over a campfire. We both value education, Alison has her Masters Degree and Dwayne has several certifications from the local technical school.
Alison’s profession, public school teacher, allows her six weeks leave to spend with the baby as well as being off weekends and during the summer months. Once summer is over and Alison must return to teaching both Dwayne and Alison’s parents will alternate caring for the baby. The grandparents, Mimi, Pa, and Granny, are retired and overjoyed to spend time with their new grandchild.
Both our families and all of our friends are very proud of and thrilled about our decision to adopt again because they know how much we want to be parents. We are very excited to welcome a new member to the family. You would be providing us with the greatest gift imaginable.
