Calvin & Lori
Dear Birth Mother,
We’ve prayed for many years that God would grant us the opportunity to be parents, and we sincerely thank you for considering us. Although we haven’t walked in your shoes, we respect and appreciate your courage and strength in creating an adoption plan, realizing that your decision is forged by the love you have for your child and the desire to do what is best for him or her. We realize the awesome responsibility we would be undertaking by becoming adoptive parents to your child, and we are completely humbled and in awe of this special and selfless sacrifice you are making on your child’s behalf. For our part, we’ll strive to be solid role models and mentors in our new roles as mommy and daddy and will do our utmost to provide a wonderful and happy life for your child. The child we adopt will be our first and we are thrilled and excited at the prospect of becoming first-time parents!
Although we haven’t yet met, please know how special you are to us and how grateful we are to you for the precious gift you would be entrusting to us to raise – your child, who will be loved and cherished by us every day of his or her life. We can’t wait to meet and welcome this child into our hearts and into our lives, and we look forward to the days, months and years ahead with him or her to share kisses and hugs, read bedtime stories, travel to fun and educational destinations, go on hayrides, play games and worship together as a family.
In 2006, Lori’s aunt and uncle, who knew Calvin from church, introduced us to one another. While we initially dated long distance, once we realized that we were very much in love and wanted to marry, Lori moved to Kentucky. Soon to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary, we are sincerely dedicated to our marital relationship and find strength in our daily lives and marriage through God and His abiding love for us.
As for employment, Calvin has enjoyed a stable job in the field of soil and natural resource conservation his entire career, while Lori is employed as a paralegal, drafting legal documents and conducting legal research. Both of us are involved in various activities at our church and in our community and, happily, we enjoy close and loving relationships with members of our families and network of friends near and far. Our steady jobs have provided us with a lovely home on two acres of land in a fairly rural area, but not more than five miles from the town center with its many amenities. Our acreage comes complete with a large yard, lots of trees and a small stream in back, while our newly renovated house is ready to be filled with the laughter of children and the pitter-patter of little feet!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your strength of character, loving heart and immense courage. We’d love the opportunity to welcome your precious child into our family and we are awaiting his or her arrival with great anticipation and enough love to last a lifetime! May God richly bless you now and in the days to come.
With love and blessings,
Calvin and Lori
